People say that what we are seeking is a meaning for life.  I don’t think this is what we’re really seeking.  I think what we’re seeking is an experience of being alive. -Joseph Campbell

Don’t seek the meaning of life, seek out how to add more life to your experience of being alive.  The experience of being alive is not a tensionless state, but rather a state in which you feel challenged, pushed, invigorated, and full of emotion.  Pursue whatever it is that most makes you feel.  Awaken your soul to experiences that add to the amount of life in your living, and, as a result, you will stumble upon your meaning of life.

I like what Joseph Campbell says. It’s right on the money. In fact I would say being alive conscious or not is what the driving force behind all that we do or experience through thick and thin in every way. When we are alive our every molecule is humming as one. But I think there are many many ways to experience being alive.

    • I agree with you Doug, and yes, I super love what Joseph Campbell says. The experience of being alive, and truly alive (as opposed to numb or just surviving) is truly an experience. Love what you said about our molecules humming together as one.
