I was recently asked about what it is exactly that makes me so driven.  And while it is certainly a combination of nurture and nature, much of my passion for life in the past few years are simply an engrained need.   I half-lived a full decade of my life.  I have a need to make up for the life that I have missed out on.  The ten years of my eating disorder and body image battle imprisioned me, and, even though it was well hidden behind the walls of perfectionism and a fake smile, it literally stole life from me.

Freedom is amazing; it is my caffeine and my natural high.  Being free from the darkness I was in before makes every discovery in life that much more amazing.  I’d like to think that one of the soundtracks to my life should include the Bachman Turner classic “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet,” because it’s what I want to say to life itself: “you ain’t seen nothing yet!”

Grab life by the britches and get excited because you ain’t seen nothing yet.  I’m convinced that every day, week, month and year of my life will just get better and better, and let me tell you what, that is certainly something that will make you excited to get out of bed for every morning. Get excited about life and bring it on!
